Kalaveti Ravouvou, the Flying Fijians center, marked his season debut for Bristol Bears by scoring two tries, leading the team to a 31-23 victory over a significantly altered Northampton side. This win also secured Bristol’s first home victory of the season.

The match started with George Hendy and Josh Kemeny putting Northampton ahead 15-0 within the first 20 minutes. However, Bristol quickly responded with two tries from Ravouvou and Gabriel Ibitoye, bringing them back into the match.

Ravouvou’s second try allowed the Bears to take a slim lead, and shortly after, Joe Batley scored a fourth try for Bristol, effectively distancing them from the visitors with just 10 minutes remaining. Northampton’s James Ramm managed to score in the final minute, but it was not enough to change the outcome, as they suffered their sixth consecutive defeat in Premiership away games.

This win marks Bristol’s fourth consecutive victory over Northampton and propels them 10 points ahead of their opponents at the top of the table, prior to the weekend’s remaining matches.
