Flying Fijians center Kalaveti Ravouvou made an impressive return by scoring two tries in his season debut, leading the Bristol Bears to a 31-23 victory against a significantly altered Northampton side. This match marked Bristol’s first home win of the season.

Northampton started strong with George Hendy and Josh Kemeny helping the team to establish a 15-0 lead within the first 20 minutes. However, Bristol quickly retaliated with two rapid tries from Ravouvou and Gabriel Ibitoye, narrowing the gap.

Ravouvou added his second try, giving Bristol a slim lead, and Joe Batley followed suit with a fourth try for the Bears, effectively sealing the game just 10 minutes before the final whistle. Although James Ramm managed to score for Saints with just one minute remaining, it was not enough to alter the outcome, marking their sixth straight Premiership defeat on away turf.

This victory not only represents Bristol’s fourth consecutive win over Northampton but also positions them 10 points ahead of their rivals at the top of the table as they look ahead to the weekend’s fixtures.
