Authorities are looking into a break-in that occurred at the residence of the Commissioner of the Fiji Corrections Service (FCS) in Nasese. Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro confirmed that the incident took place on September 29, despite the property being well-fenced and protected by FCS personnel. As of now, no arrests have been made.

FCS Commissioner Jalesi Nakarawa informed that one room was thoroughly ransacked, resulting in the theft of traditional artefacts, including a whale’s tooth, also known as tabua. Fortunately, no individuals were harmed during the event.
