Breach of Security: Commissioner’s Residence Hit by Intruders

Authorities are looking into a burglary that took place at the official residence of the Commissioner of the Fiji Corrections Service (FCS) in Nasese. Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro confirmed that the break-in occurred on September 29, despite the property being well-fenced and secured by FCS staff. As of now, no arrests have been made.

FCS Commissioner Jalesi Nakarawa mentioned that a room was ransacked during the incident, and traditional artifacts, specifically a whale’s tooth or tabua, were taken. He also stated that fortunately, no one was injured during the break-in.
