A violent incident outside a well-known nightclub in Suva has resulted in six individuals being hospitalized, with two remaining unconscious. The police have reported that these two patients are receiving care at the Colonial War Memorial Hospital, alongside a third person who is said to be in stable condition. The other three affected individuals were taken to Sigatoka Hospital, where they are also reported to be stable.

It is believed that some of the participants in this altercation are associated with a Rugby League club from Sigatoka, which had its awards ceremony in Suva the previous night. Assistant Commissioner of Police Operations, Livai Driu, has stated that the Central Division police are diligently working on the case and are in the process of identifying and apprehending those involved.

This incident serves as a reminder of the importance of maintaining safety and decorum during celebrations. While the situation is serious, the community’s response through law enforcement highlights a commitment to restoring peace and ensuring that similar events do not escalate in the future.
