Boxer Sebastian “Sniper” Singh is mourning the loss of his brother, Ubayd Haider, previously known as Nathan Singh, who passed away following a boxing match. Haider was defeated by TKO in the IBO Asia Pacific Super Featherweight title fight against Australia-based Runqi Zhou on October 26. Tragically, the 25-year-old collapsed post-fight and was hospitalized at Lautoka Aspen Hospital, where he remained until his death.
In a heartfelt message, Sebastian expressed his deep sorrow, stating, “I wish it was me instead. Isa my bro, you really broke my heart.” He went on to honor his brother’s memory saying, “Your legacy will live on. Love you my bro.”
The community and fans will have the opportunity to pay their respects, as Haider’s body will be available for viewing at the FMF Gymnasium on Tuesday, November 12, from 3 PM to 5 PM, with his final rites to take place at Raralevu cemetery at 8:30 PM.
