The upcoming Bluewater Boxing promotion set for February next year will feature an exciting main event with veteran boxer Joseph Kwadjo facing off against Robin Hazleman. This matchup was confirmed by promoter Samir Khan, who revealed that the fight will take place at the Vodafone Arena in Suva, with a launch event scheduled for 1 PM on Friday at the Holiday Inn in Suva.

Khan mentioned that the organization plans to host four boxing events throughout the year. The lineup for the February fight includes several notable boxers such as Alifereti Kauyaca, Paulo Ratumaikoro, and Ratu Rakuro Daunivavana. Mohammed Ali and Jese Ravudi are also expected to compete in this program.

In a statement, Khan highlighted the importance of safety and compliance within the sport, noting that they have adhered to regulations in their past events. He assured that all necessary medical protocols, including the presence of ambulances and doctors as well as drug testing, are in place. However, he emphasized that boxers participating in these events are not insured, and urged that all fighters must provide a medical certificate to ensure their health and safety.

The promoter underlined Bluewater’s commitment to providing opportunities for boxers affiliated with registered clubs, stating that they will require managers and coaches to furnish valid credentials to participate. This initiative aims to enhance the integrity and professionalism within the sport.

Overall, this boxing event promises to be a thrilling occasion for fans and an excellent opportunity for local boxers to showcase their skills, while ensuring safety and compliance are prioritized. It reflects the growing interest in boxing within the region, paving the way for future sporting events that can foster talent and excitement in the boxing community.

As boxing continues to evolve and attract attention, initiatives like these can help improve safety standards while also nurturing new talent, ultimately enriching the sport.
