Paradise Beverages’ Bounty Rum label has been announced as the major sponsor for the third annual Stir It Up Fiji 2024 Music festival, set to take place next month.

This year’s festival will be hosted at the VOU Hub in Denarau, marking a significant change from previous years, as confirmed by a company statement. Mike Spencer, general manager of Paradise Beverages, emphasized the company’s commitment to supporting community events, saying, “We’ve been championing various community events, such as the Fiji Bitter 7s Series Tournaments and fashion shows. Now, we’re taking it a notch higher by continuing our support for this remarkable music festival. The music industry is just as vital to us.”

Having launched in 1980, the Bounty Rum brand has established itself as the “Spirit of the South Pacific,” created using high-quality sugar, exceptional water, and optimal rum-making conditions. Spencer highlighted their dedication by mentioning the brand’s accolades, including a Gold medal at the 2024 International Wine and Spirits Competition.

The festival, organized by the Wailoaloa Beach Club, will feature renowned international artists such as DJ Noiz, Kenyon Brown, Binna Butta, and Donelle Brown. Lara Khan, managing director of Wailoaloa Beach and organizer of the festival, remarked on the venue change: “The decision to move the event to the VOU Hub is a testament to our commitment to enhancing the festival experience for our attendees. While we have cherished hosting the festival for the past two years at our home ground, we are excited to see how the new venue will elevate the event, providing a fresh and exciting environment for festival-goers.”

Khan noted that the growth of Stir It Up Fiji necessitated a larger venue to accommodate the increasing number of attendees and to allow for more diverse activities. “The VOU Hub offers the perfect setting for this growth, ensuring we can continue to deliver an exceptional festival experience,” she concluded.
