Bounty Rum, the iconic rum brand from Fiji, has become the primary sponsor of the Bounty Christmas Festival in Suva. This exciting event aims to blend the festive cheer of Christmas with the vibrant sounds of reggae music.

Etrina Simpson, the head of marketing for Bounty Rum, expressed the company’s enthusiasm, stating, “Christmas is a time for togetherness, and what better way to celebrate than through music. We’re thrilled to support the Bounty Reggae Christmas Festival. It’s an incredible opportunity to unite people through the power of music.”

Darlene Underwood, director of Pacific Coast Events & Promotions Pacific Harbour, shared her aspirations for the festival’s growth, hoping to expand its reach from Suva to Nadi and even beyond. She emphasized the significance of reggae in the region, saying, “Reggae has a special place in the hearts of islanders, and we want to make this the Pacific’s go-to festival for reggae music.”

The 2024 festival is scheduled for December 21 and will showcase beloved local reggae acts, including Tana Music Fiji, Sweet Sensation, Chapter 5, 9PM Band, Sector 4, PowerBand, and 4 Quarters, along with special guest DJ Alby Eastgate.

This festive collaboration not only highlights the cultural significance of reggae music in the Pacific but also reinforces the spirit of community and celebration during the holiday season. It promises to be a joyful event that will unite people through music, creating lasting memories.
