Bounty Rum, a renowned and traditional rum brand from Fiji, has taken on the role of the main sponsor for the Bounty Christmas Festival in Suva. This celebratory event aims to merge the joyous essence of Christmas with lively reggae music.

Etrina Simpson, head of marketing at Bounty Rum, expressed the company’s excitement to enhance their support for the festival, highlighting the importance of coming together during the holiday season. “Christmas is a time for togetherness, and what better way to celebrate than through music. We’re thrilled to support the Bounty Reggae Christmas Festival. It’s an incredible opportunity to unite people through the power of music,” she stated.

Darlene Underwood, director of Pacific Coast Events & Promotions, underscored their vision of expanding the festival from Suva to cities like Nadi and beyond. “Reggae has a special place in the hearts of islanders, and we want to make this the Pacific’s go-to festival for reggae music,” she remarked.

The festival for 2024 is set to take place on December 21 and will showcase a variety of popular local reggae artists, including Tana Music Fiji, Sweet Sensation, Chapter 5, 9PM Band, Sector 4, PowerBand, and 4 Quarters, with the addition of special guest DJ Alby Eastgate.

This festival not only promises an exciting celebration of music and culture but also reflects the strong community spirit of Fiji, fostering unity and joy among its people during the festive season.
