Sera Bolatini is making her mark in the world of rugby 7s, as she trains with the Fiji Airways Fijiana 7s squad. Hailing from Ovalau, Bolatini was recently part of a training session at Bidesi Park in Suva.
Her journey in sports is noteworthy, having dabbled not only in rugby but also in boxing. She has honed her rugby skills across several clubs and has recently joined the Fijian Drua Women. Bolatini expressed her long-standing passion for rugby, stating that her early exposure to the sport, thanks to her friends, fostered her love for it.
Since 2019, she has played for the Assemblies of God High School women’s rugby team and the Namosi team in 2020. She continued her progress with the Marist Women’s rugby club, culminating in her inclusion on the Fijian Drua team in 2023 and now the Fijiana 7s.
Bolatini aims to secure a place in the final roster for Fiji in the upcoming World Rugby Women’s Sevens Series. Her positive mindset and commitment to hard work serve as her guiding principles as she pursues her sporting ambitions.
