Blues Duo Shine in Battle of the Giants Semifinal

Sairusi Nalaubu celebrated a hat-trick against Rewa in the Battle of the Giants semifinals, dedicating his goals to his family. Lautoka defeated Rewa 5-2 with Nalaubu scoring three goals and Saula Waqa adding two more.

“We stuck to the game plan for the semifinal, worked on our defense and finishing. I dedicate this win to all the families back at home and the fans,” said Nalaubu.

Speaking to FijiLive, both Nalaubu and Waqa praised the unity and collective effort of their team, which they believe will be crucial in their upcoming final against Nadi.

“Rewa was the favorite side from the pool game, but we came here with one mission and that was to take the three points and go into the final,” said Waqa.

The duo credits teamwork as the key to reaching the final, emphasizing that it has always been a central principle for the Blues.

The Flick Hygiene Lautoka side faces Smart Security/Calgary Nadi at 3 pm today at HFC Bank Stadium in Suva.
