Speedster Mfundo Ndlovu is set to make his return to the Blitzbok squad for the Cape Town 7s, as the South African team seeks to secure gold on home soil. The two-time HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series and Commonwealth Games gold medallist has been brought back into the team following the losses of players Ryan Oosthuizen and Christie Grobbelaar during the recent Dubai 7s.

Additionally, Zander Reynders is also back in the squad and could potentially make his debut this weekend, adding fresh talent to the team.

South Africa’s campaign kicks off with their opening pool match against Ireland on Saturday at 9:44 PM, followed by a significant clash against the reigning Cape Town 7s champions, Argentina, at 4:41 AM on Sunday.

This event promises excitement as South Africa aims to leverage their home advantage, with experienced players like Ndlovu and newcomers like Reynders possibly making a difference. Fans can look forward to an electrifying weekend of rugby, hoping for a successful performance from the Blitzboks on home turf.
