South Africa’s Blitzbok 7s team will welcome back speedster Mfundo Ndlovu for the upcoming Cape Town 7s tournament, where the host nation aims to secure gold. Ndlovu, who has previously won medals at both the HSBC SVNS Series and the Commonwealth Games, returns to strengthen the squad following the losses of Ryan Oosthuizen and Christie Grobbelaar during the Dubai 7s last week.

Joining Ndlovu is Zander Reynders, who is poised to make his debut this weekend, adding an exciting dynamic to the team.

The Blitzboks will kick off their campaign against Ireland on Saturday at 9:44 PM, followed by a challenging match against the defending champions, Argentina, early Sunday morning at 4:41 AM.

This is a crucial moment for the Blitzboks as they look to harness home support and demonstrate their prowess on the field. Fans will be eager to see their team in action, and there’s a sense of optimism surrounding the return of seasoned players like Ndlovu, complemented by the energy of new talent like Reynders. The tournament presents a fantastic opportunity for South Africa to shine at home and continue their legacy in rugby sevens.
