The Bilibili Women’s Rugby Team delivered an impressive performance in their opening match of the Na Soko Tournament, defeating Camakau decisively with a score of 32-14 at Lawaqa Park. The team, under the guidance of coach Tavaita Rowati, showcased their skill and determination right from the start, with local talent from the top franchises in the ANZ Marama Championship representing their prowess.
Captain Ada Dansey led by example, scoring a try while also guiding her teammates, including Tanya Tepa, Rosemary Qoro, Fulori Nabura, Kesaia Senikuba, and Siteri Mataele—each contributing a try to the team’s total. Pivot Jennifer Ravutia rounded off the scoring with a successful conversion, emphasizing the team’s effective attack.
Despite the loss, Camakau showed resilience, scoring two tries by hooker Mata Bale and inside center Salote Nalolo, both of whom were converted by Adi Ana Lutunauca.
