Big Solar Project Promises Major Savings and Environmental Impact

A significant solar project has been launched between Vision Energy Solutions, a solar power provider, and CJ Patel and Company Pte, a wholesale trading firm. This initiative aims to generate approximately 632.84 megawatt-hours of electricity each year.

The project, which began on July 22, 2024, plans to implement a solar capacity system with a total output of 380.16 kW, anticipated to produce around 632.84 MWh annually. This initiative is expected to result in utility savings of about 563.50 MWh per year, along with a reduction in carbon emissions by 224.26 tonnes each year.

Sanjesh Prasad, the CEO of Vision Energy Solutions, indicated that this partnership with CJ Patel is the culmination of 24 months of detailed discussions and evaluations. He expressed enthusiasm for the new opportunities this collaboration will bring.

The project aligns with Vision Energy’s mission of providing sustainable energy solutions and highlights its commitment to environmental responsibility, specifically in promoting renewable energy sources. Mr. Prasad emphasized that this agreement represents more than just a business deal but the start of a significant partnership. He also noted the potential for future projects that will be advantageous for both companies and contribute to a sustainable future in Fiji and beyond.

CJ Patel finalized the contract earlier this month, marking a significant step in its dedication to renewable energy initiatives.
