Former party member and Opposition MP Mosese Bulitavu revealed that some prominent businesspeople offered to settle the $701,680 debt of FijiFirst, a political party in Fiji. Bulitavu did not disclose the identities of these businesspeople, but noted that their potential involvement raised concerns over their intentions to gain control of the party. He stated, “Sometimes they will want something in return for them to either be board members.” This offer of help, according to Bulitavu, is from parties who wanted to keep the political group from sinking. Despite these concerns, he revealed that they deeply considered the proposal.
