Rumors of a romantic relationship between Ben Affleck and Kathleen “Kick” Kennedy emerged over the weekend, but Affleck’s representative has denied these claims. Jen Allen, Affleck’s spokesperson, stated, “The rumors are not true,” in response to inquiries from Fox News Digital.
Reports from various sources indicated that Affleck and Kennedy have been spending time together since allegedly being linked since spring. One insider mentioned to People magazine that Kennedy has long had a crush on the actor, stating, “Kick’s celeb crush has always been Ben.” Kennedy has previously been romantically associated with Harper Simon, the son of musician Paul Simon, and Matthew Mellon, a late billionaire banking heir.
Affleck, currently in the midst of a divorce from Jennifer Lopez, is reportedly not quite ready to move on but appears to be in good spirits. A recent photo showed him smiling while picking up a food delivery at his rental home in Los Angeles.
Lopez filed for divorce from Affleck in Los Angeles County Court, citing “irreconcilable differences” and listing their separation date as April 26. The filing occurred on the two-year anniversary of their wedding ceremony in Georgia. Lopez indicated that neither she nor Affleck should receive spousal support.
The couple originally got engaged in 2002 after meeting on the set of their film “Gigli,” but their wedding was called off shortly before it was set to take place in 2004. Two decades later, they married unexpectedly in Las Vegas. Speculation about their relationship’s stability increased earlier this year when Affleck did not attend Lopez’s extravagant 55th birthday celebration themed around the show “Bridgerton.”
Affleck has expressed the challenges of handling public scrutiny regarding their relationship in the documentary “The Greatest Love Story Never Told.”
