Kalaveti Ravouvou, a former Flying Fijians and Bristol Bears center, showcased his impressive skills by scoring two tries in the Bears’ decisive 54-24 victory over Leicester. The match, held at Leicester’s Welford Road, saw the Bears set a club record by scoring 40 points in the first half, achieving six tries from six visits into the opposition’s 22-meter area.

In just his third match of the premiership season, Ravouvou has already amassed five tries, placing him just two behind teammate Gabriel Ibitoye, who currently leads the premiership in tries after Round 8. The Bears’ offense was relentless, culminating in eight tries overall, while Leicester managed five.

Ravouvou’s contributions included a brilliant play in the 35th minute, where he initiated a break from deep in his half, assisting in moving the ball into Leicester territory. His exceptional skills led to a standout moment when he executed a stunning solo try, breaking free from his own 22-meter line, which has been hailed as one of the season’s best.

Bristol Bears head coach Pat Lam praised the team’s excellent performance, noting that the dominant first-half display mirrored their training sessions filled with confidence and belief. Lam expressed his satisfaction with the skill and execution shown by the team, even as they acknowledged a less dominant second half. He emphasized the importance of maintaining momentum as they prepare for their upcoming match against Sale on Friday night.

This encouraging performance from Ravouvou and the Bears reflects the team’s growth and potential as they strive to improve further this season. Fans can look forward to more thrilling matches ahead as the Bears develop their game and build on this success.
