Battling Corruption: Fiji’s New FICAC Commissioner Under Investigation?

Barbara Malimali, a Suva lawyer and the chairperson of the Electoral Commission, has been appointed as the new Commissioner of the Fiji Independent Commission Against Corruption (FICAC). The commission has verified her appointment. Additionally, FICAC has issued a search warrant against Malimali, which led to a search at the Electoral Commission’s office in Suva.
