Fiji heavyweight boxing champion James ‘The Beast’ Singh is poised to defend his title against Semi Dauloloma at Lawaqa Park in Sigatoka on Saturday, August 31. Singh expressed to the Fiji Sports Council (FSC) Media his confidence in his preparation and readiness to step into the ring.
Dauloloma, on the other hand, is looking to replicate his earlier success from June when he defeated Singh in the second round to secure the Leweni Waqa Memorial belt. Both fighters have one victory each against the other, making this upcoming match a decisive face-off.
Promoter Samir Khan of Bluewater Boxing Promotions plans to support the winner in enhancing their world rankings by facilitating opportunities to compete against top international boxers.
In the main event, local fighter Junior Binnu Singh will face Krishnil Mudaliar for the WBF Australasian featherweight title. Mudaliar confirmed earlier this week that he has successfully met the 57-kilogram weight limit and intends to maintain this weight until the fight.
Other notable matchups include veteran Savenaca Naliva competing against Sikeli Senidoko in a cruiserweight bout, while Ronald Naidu will take on Rakuro Dauvavana.
