Fiji Water Flying Fijians head coach Mick Byrne is gearing up for a challenging series as his team prepares to take on Samoa and Tonga in the upcoming 2024 Pacific Nations Cup. He views these matches as a “tough Pacific battle” that will provide important lessons for the team.
“Samoa and Tonga are great competitors, as they always are,” Byrne stated. “We’re really looking forward to hosting Samoa at home and then traveling to Tonga before heading to Japan.”
Both opposing teams are recognized for their physical play and strong performances, leading Byrne to anticipate a fierce competition. “Both teams will be equally competitive, and we’re looking forward to that challenge,” he emphasized.
The Fijians are set to host Manu Samoa at HFC Bank Stadium next Friday at 6 PM.
