Basketball Fiji is set to host national trials in Suva later this month as part of its preparations for several significant international competitions. The association aims to select teams for the Commonwealth Games, the Under-23 Nations Cup, and the Under-18 Youth Olympic Games, with trials available for both male and female players.
These trials will focus on the 3×3 basketball format, a variation that has gained popularity for its fast-paced nature. Trials are scheduled for the 21st of this month, providing athletes with 16 days to prepare.
Players based overseas interested in participating must submit their expression of interest via email to h4h@fiji.basketball. The trials will be held at the Vodafone Arena, Hall A in Suva, from 9 am to 3 pm, creating an excellent opportunity for players to showcase their talent.
This initiative not only aims to develop national teams but also fosters a spirit of competition and camaraderie among basketball enthusiasts in Fiji. With these trials, Basketball Fiji is gearing up to make a strong impression on the international stage.
