Ba’s Football Future at a Crossroads: Can Youth Players Revive Glory?

Ba FA President Azam Ali has emphasized that the senior men’s team is still developing under the direction of Timoci Seru, who has been the head coach for the last two weeks.

“Timoci Seru has been part of the coaching panel for quite some time, and I am pleased with how he led the team in his first match against Navua,” Ali stated.

He noted that drawing with Navua, especially in an away match, is a commendable result given the challenges.

However, Ba’s recent performances have raised concerns among fans and critics regarding the team’s ability to regain its past dominance, as consistency seems to be an ongoing challenge.

Ali acknowledged these criticisms, assuring that the team values feedback from supporters.

Looking forward, Ba plans to feature their youth players in the upcoming match against Nadroga in the DFPL Round 14, seeking to achieve the desired outcomes.

The match against Nadroga is scheduled to take place at the Fiji FA Ba Academy Grounds on Sunday at 3 PM.
