The High Court has granted bail to Emosi Tikoicina, who is accused of setting fire to the Navuso Agricultural Technical Institute located in Navuso, Nausori. The case was reviewed by High Court Judge Justice Thushara Rajasinghe this afternoon.
Justice Rajasinghe implemented strict bail conditions, instructing Tikoicina not to interfere with prosecution witnesses or commit any further offenses while out on bail. Additionally, he has been prohibited from entering the Technical Institute premises.
During the proceedings, State Counsel Zenith Zunaid informed the court that Tikoicina had confessed to a friend, who is a fellow student at the Institute. In May, Tikoicina pleaded not guilty to the charges against him.
