The allegations claim that from July 25, 2023, to August 31, 2023, Ravu interfered with a lawful Ministry of Forestry investigation into the illegal trade of prohibited beche-de-mer species. Toaisi is accused of assisting Ravu in this abuse of office while employed at the Ministry. Ravu has previously pleaded not guilty, and the case is set to resume on October 7 for a bail variation hearing.
