The Ministry of Education has announced that back-to-school assistance payments for the 2026 academic year have commenced today. Parents and guardians of eligible students are encouraged to check their entitlements, as these payments are being distributed. However, Year 13 students will receive their assistance at a later date, depending on the confirmation of their enrolments from schools.

For those who require further assistance or more information, the Ministry advises reaching out to the nearest District Office or contacting the Help Desk at Waisomo House. This initiative aims to ease the financial burden on families as the school year approaches, providing critical support to ensure students have the resources they need for a successful start to their educational journey.
