Baby Jack’s, a well-known children’s retail chain, has launched its fourth store in Fiji, coinciding with its growth strategy. The new location is situated in the Damodar complex in Suva.
This store joins the existing Baby Jack’s branches that started with the first opening in Suva on Renwick Road in 2016. The Lautoka store was inaugurated in 2021, followed by their flagship store in Nadi in 2023.
Rayna Chandra, Senior Marketing Officer at Jack’s of Fiji, noted that the initial Baby Jack’s store in Suva, opened in August 2016, received overwhelmingly positive feedback, leading to a demand for more locations in the Central region. This demand has materialized with the latest store opening in the Damodar complex.
Chandra mentioned that the Damodar complex sees thousands of visitors daily, and the new store aims to enhance the vibrant atmosphere of the area while driving business growth.
The new Baby Jack’s outlet features an array of in-house brands such as Katchi Kid’s, Crazy Jack’s, Firstribe, and Jackie K, alongside popular international brands including Ryco, Bright Starts, and Avent. According to Chandra, the store offers not only stylish, affordable clothing for children but also essential items for feeding, home needs like strollers and cots, and a diverse selection of educational and recreational toys.
Akash Narsey, Group Marketing Manager at Jack’s of Fiji, shared his insights on the store’s establishment, stating that the idea was to create a comprehensive one-stop shop for parents and children, offering unique advantages that competitors do not provide. He highlighted the expansion’s role in boosting the local economy, noting that the investment of around half a million dollars has led to the creation of up to ten new jobs.
Losana Lewanibeto, an employee who joined last year, reflected on her growth with Baby Jack’s. She mentioned the positive changes experienced since the store’s relocation, leading to a broader product selection that customers appreciate. Lewanibeto expressed pride in her customer interactions and emphasized the supportive work environment, which she finds beneficial as a single mother.
Jack’s of Fiji plans to continue its investment in the local economy with the upcoming openings of additional stores.
