Baby Jack’s, a well-known children’s retail chain, has launched its fourth store in Fiji, furthering its expansion efforts. The new store is situated within the Damodar complex in Suva.

This outlet joins the other Baby Jack’s locations, which include the original store that opened on Renwick Road in Suva in 2016, a branch opened in Lautoka in 2021, and a flagship store that debuted in Nadi earlier this year.

Rayna Chandra, Senior Marketing Officer at Jack’s of Fiji, noted that the first Baby Jack’s shop generated excellent feedback since its opening in mid-August 2016. In response to increasing demand from customers in the central region for more outlets, the company decided to establish a new store in the greater Suva area, now realized with the launch at Damodar.

Chandra expressed optimism about the new store’s potential, stating that the Damodar complex sees thousands of visitors each day, which should enhance business and invigorate the complex’s atmosphere.

Baby Jack’s features a variety of in-house brands like Katchi Kid’s, Crazy Jack’s, Firstribe, and Jackie K, along with international brands such as Ryco, Bright Starts, and Avent. The store offers not just stylish and affordable children’s apparel, but also essential items for feeding and home, including strollers, cots, baby walkers, and a wide selection of educational and recreational toys.

Jack’s of Fiji’s Group Marketing Manager, Akash Narsey, shared that integrating a Baby Jack’s section into the Damodar store aims to provide a comprehensive shopping experience for parents and children, positioning it uniquely in the market. He underscored the company’s commitment to customers and its role in supporting the local economy, explaining that the expansion resulted in additional employment opportunities. The investment for expanding the store amounted to about half a million, allowing for the hiring of up to ten new staff members.

Narsey indicated that Jack’s of Fiji plans to continue investing in the local economy and will soon open additional stores.

Losana Lewanibeto, an employee who joined last year, expressed pride in being part of Baby Jack’s growth. She reminisced about the transition from a smaller department with limited stock to a much larger variety of products, which customers appreciate. Lewanibeto enjoys engaging with customers and finds solidarity among her colleagues, appreciating the support she receives as a single mother balancing her professional and personal life.
