Baby Jack’s, a well-known children’s retail chain, has expanded its presence in Fiji by opening its fourth store, located at the Damodar complex in Suva. This new outlet complements the existing locations, which include the original store that opened in Suva in 2016 on Renwick Road, a store in Lautoka that commenced operations in 2021, and the flagship store in Nadi that officially opened in 2023.

Rayna Chandra, Senior Marketing Officer for Jack’s of Fiji, mentioned that the initial store in Suva received remarkable feedback, leading to a high demand from customers in the Central region for more locations. This prompted the planning for an additional Baby Jack’s store in the larger Suva area, culminating in the latest opening at the Damodar complex.

Chandra expressed optimism about the new store’s potential, stating that the Damodar complex attracts thousands of visitors each day, promising to boost business and enhance the complex’s atmosphere. Baby Jack’s offers a variety of in-house brands, including Katchi Kid’s, Crazy Jack’s, Firstribe, and Jackie K, as well as international brands like Ryco, Bright Starts, and Avent. The store provides not only stylish and affordable children’s clothing but also essential items like strollers, cots, baby walkers, and a vast selection of educational and recreational toys.

Akash Narsey, Group Marketing Manager at Jack’s of Fiji, emphasized that the integration of Baby Jack’s within the Damodar store aims to create a convenient one-stop shopping experience for parents and children. He highlighted the strategic investment of approximately half a million dollars into the expansion, which also created jobs for up to 10 new staff members. Narsey reassured that Jack’s of Fiji remains committed to investing in the local economy and plans to open more stores in the near future.

Losana Lewanibeto, an employee who joined the team less than a year ago, shared her journey, noting the significant growth of the Baby Jack’s department. She expressed pride in her work and the positive relationships she builds with customers, many of whom know what they want when they come in. Lewanibeto also mentioned the supportive work environment, which she appreciates as a single mother balancing her professional and personal life.
