Baby Jack’s Expands: Exciting New Store Opens in Fiji!

Baby Jack’s, a well-known children’s retail chain, has launched its fourth store in Fiji, highlighting a key milestone in its growth. The new store is situated in the Damodar complex in Suva, joining existing locations that began with the first store in Suva on Renwick Road in 2016. The Lautoka store opened in 2021, followed by the flagship store in Nadi earlier this year.

Rayna Chandra, Senior Marketing Officer for Jack’s of Fiji, noted that when the first Baby Jack’s store opened, it received enthusiastic feedback which prompted the need for more outlets to better serve Central customers. This demand led to the establishment of the latest store at the Damodar complex.

Chandra emphasized that the Damodar complex attracts thousands of visitors daily, and they believe the new store will enhance both business opportunities and the overall atmosphere of the area. Baby Jack’s offers a variety of in-house brands, including Katchi Kid’s, Crazy Jack’s, Firstribe, and Jackie K, as well as international brands such as Ryco, Bright Starts, and Avent. The store provides a range of products, from affordable and stylish children’s clothing to essential items like strollers and educational toys.

Akash Narsey, Group Marketing Manager for Jack’s of Fiji, explained that the inclusion of a Baby Jack’s space within the Damodar store aims to create a comprehensive shopping experience for parents and children. Narsey pointed out that this unique positioning offers a competitive edge in the market, demonstrating the company’s dedication to its customers. He added that the expansion resulted in the creation of new jobs and involved an investment of approximately half a million dollars, leading to the hiring of up to ten additional staff members. Narsey affirmed that Jack’s of Fiji is committed to further investments in the local economy with plans for more store openings in the near future.

Losana Lewanibeto, an employee who joined the team last year, shared her journey and experiences as part of Baby Jack’s growth. She expressed appreciation for the enhanced range of products available compared to the previous layout, noting that customers enjoy their shopping experience and have positive interactions with the staff. Lewanibeto also highlighted the supportive work environment, which she values as a single mother balancing her job and family commitments.
