Defending champions Ba Women FC delivered an impressive performance to defeat Suva Women FC with a staggering scoreline of 12-0 on Day Two of the Fiji FA Women’s IDC 2025, held at the Fiji FA Academy Ground in Vatuwaqa. Ba showcased their dominance from the outset, racing to a commanding 5-0 lead by halftime.
Sisilia Kuladina was a standout player, achieving a remarkable first-half hat-trick with goals scored in the 2nd, 9th, and 28th minutes. Sereana Naweni contributed to the scoreline with Ba’s fourth goal in the 18th minute, while Asela Cokanisiga rounded off a powerful first half with the fifth.
After the interval, Ba continued their onslaught, with Naweni adding to her tally. She netted a total of four goals, finding the back of the net in the 53rd, 56th, and during injury time at 90+8 minutes. Koleta Likuculacula and Elesi Tabunase also added to Ba’s tally, scoring in the 57th and 68th minutes, respectively.
Suva’s situation deteriorated further when Esther Vunivi unintentionally scored an own goal in the 78th minute. Joyce Naceva then capped this overwhelming victory by scoring Ba’s final goal in the 81st minute, underscoring the team’s title ambitions as they defend their Women’s IDC crown with remarkable flair.
In other action, Labasa claimed an 8-0 victory over Rewa, dominating the match from the first half. Annie May set the tone by scoring in the 4th minute, followed by a hat-trick from Sofi Diyolowai in the 15th, 24th, and 29th minutes. Adi Covunisiga added another goal before halftime, and Diyolowai completed her impressive outing with three additional goals.
Looking ahead, Labasa is set to face Ba tomorrow, while Rewa will compete against Suva. With their current form, the Women in Black will need only a draw in their final match to clinch the IDC title, promising an exciting conclusion to the tournament.
