Ba secured a hard-fought 2-1 victory against Labasa in Round 17 of the Digicel Fiji Premier League at the Fiji FA Academy Ground in Namosau. The Babasiga Lions were in desperate need of a win to maintain their slim hopes of clinching the title.

Veteran striker Christopher Wasasala put Labasa ahead with a goal in the 18th minute. Ba equalized before halftime when Etonia Dogalau scored with a header in the 37th minute. The teams went into the break tied 1-1.

The second half proved to be challenging and competitive, but Ba ultimately emerged victorious thanks to a late goal from Faazil Ali. With this win, Rooster Chicken Ba retains fourth place in the standings, now tied with third-placed Lautoka on 28 points but trailing on goal difference. Extra Supermarket Labasa continues to hold second place with 32 points.
