Votua Catholic Primary School and Ba Muslim Primary School shone at the Ba Primary Schools athletics competition, which concluded yesterday at Churchill Park in Lautoka.

Votua Catholic School excelled in the girls’ events, securing four gold medals and claiming the Ajay Kumar-sponsored trophy, while Ba Muslim Primary School took the lead in the boys’ division with two gold medals. The two-day event featured athletes from 40 schools within the district, showcasing remarkable talent and competitive spirit.

Event coordinator Ana Tuiova commended the athletes for their performances, emphasizing their dedication and sportsmanship. “It’s incredible to see these young students giving their best. Their determination and the level of talent this year were outstanding,” she remarked.

Parents and supporters filled the stands, proudly cheering on their children. For many, the event represented more than just winning medals; it was an opportunity to inspire the next generation of athletes.

The competition highlighted thrilling races, close finishes, and notable achievements in both track and field events, signaling a promising future for athletics in Ba.
