Govind Park, established 50 years ago in 1976 and named after former mayor Kishore Govind, has been central to the community’s sporting culture. Patel highlighted that this initiative provides a substantial boost to the senior Ba players as they prepare for the 2026 Skipper Cup.
The Ba Rugby Union aims not only to strengthen its rugby team but also to contribute positively to the local community by supporting young athletes in continuing their education. Historically, Ba has lagged in rugby development compared to other major unions, but the current executives are dedicated to improving resources, experience, and facilities.
