AJ Pallets Ba River triumphed in the Fiji Sports Council’s Rakiraki Leg of the Under 20, 7s tournament, showcasing their impressive debut in the competition. The final match against Ca’au, the champions of the Savusavu leg, was a fiercely contested battle marked by determination and spirited play.
Both teams demonstrated exceptional skill throughout the match, but it was Ba River who emerged victorious with a score of 14-7. This memorable win not only highlights their tenacity but also serves as a strong start for the young team in the tournament.
Ca’au faced a tough road to the final, having recently defeated Vatukoro, the Mataso 7s Champions, with a solid 19-5 victory. Meanwhile, Ba River showcased their prowess by overcoming the formidable PSM Aflame Brothers with a convincing 17-5 win to reach the finals.
In recognition of their success, Ba River received a cash prize of three thousand five hundred dollars, while Ca’au was awarded two thousand dollars for their commendable performance as runners-up.
