AJ Pallets Ba River triumphed at the Fiji Sports Council’s Rakiraki Leg of the Under 20, 7s tournament. The final match showcased a fierce and physical contest between Ba River and Ca’au, the champions of the Savusavu leg.
In this gripping showdown, both teams gave their all, but it was Ba River who emerged victorious, winning with a score of 14-7. This victory is particularly noteworthy as it marks Ba River’s debut in the U20, 7s competition, making their success even more significant.
The road to the final was challenging for Ca’au, who defeated the formidable Vatukoro, known for their Mataso 7s championship title, with a hard-fought score of 19-5. Meanwhile, Ba River showcased their determination by overcoming the strong PSM Aflame Brothers with a convincing 17-5 win.
For their outstanding performance, Ba River received a prize of $3,500, while Ca’au, as the runners-up, were awarded $2,000.
