Ba Primary Schools have officially kicked off their campaign for the Fiji Primary School IDC in October, following the conclusion of the Ba Inter Primary Football and Netball competition yesterday.
A total of 40 schools took part in the two-day event, with two new schools, Navala Catholic Primary and Nakoroboya Primary School, joining the competition this year.
Naushad Khan, President of Ba Primary Schools Sports, expressed his joy at the introduction of the girls’ U14 football grade, emphasizing that Ba is the defending champions for the Fiji Primary Schools IDC.
“It was good to see the participation from the U14 girls’ grade in football this year. We normally have the girls playing netball, but this year we are happy to have the U14 girls’ football competition for the first time,” Khan said. “We have talented players with good football skills and what it takes to represent the district.”
As the defending U14 girls’ football champions, Ba is gearing up to defend their title. “Defending our title is a challenge, and we want to prepare well for the Primary School IDC.”
The Fiji Primary School IDC will take place in Labasa from October 22-24.
