Ba Girls Soccer Team Looks to Defend Title with National Stars

The Ba girls’ soccer team, the reigning champions, is relying on their Fiji representatives to successfully defend their title at the Primary School Inter District Competitions taking place in Labasa. The inclusion of under-16 national players Adi Ulamila Reva and Torika Boseiwaqa bolsters their confidence.

Coach Pranil Prakash shared that the team has been preparing since the inter-primary competitions in the second term. He stated, “Since then, we have been preparing to defend our title during the four-day competition.” He emphasized the high expectations from spectators regarding the team’s performance.

“We must meet the expectations of the people, and we delivered during our first pool game,” Prakash added. He noted the hard work the girls have put into their training, which was reflected in their opening match result where they defeated Navua 2-0. The team is set to compete against Seaqaqa today at Sangam Primary School.
