Illustration of Ba applies for Nayasi’s transfer from Labasa

Ba Football Club Strengthens Squad with Experienced Labasa Midfielder and Promising Young Talents

Ba has submitted an application for the release of seasoned Labasa midfielder, Ilaisa Naiyasi. Ba’s President, Azam Ali, expressed confidence that if approved, Naiyasi’s arrival will bolster the Men In Black’s midfield lineup.

Additionally, Ali announced to FijiLive about bringing in two rising young stars. One of these talents is 17-year-old Lautoka midfielder, Isimeli Gavidi, who is currently serving on the Fiji U19 team and is ready to join his local team, Ba. Given Gavidi is the grandson of Ba football icon Meli Vuilabasa, his impending transition to Ba is highly anticipated as he seeks to follow in his grandfather’s footsteps.

Gavidi’s U19 Fiji team compatriot, Penaia Naqatalevu, a 17-year-old striker hailing from Tavua, is active in the concluding stages of negotiations with Ba. It’s expected that his transfer will be finalized soon to further bolster Ba’s forward line.

Ali also addressed circulating rumors about Ba players Rahul Naresh and Raj Pillay, who were purportedly on the radar of Suva officials. He affirmed that both players will continue their affiliations with Ba, stating that no players will be departing the district.
