Ba Football Club Strengthens Squad with Acquisition of Experienced Midfielder and Promising Young Talents

Ba is in the process of acquiring seasoned midfielder Ilaisa Naiyasi from Labasa. Ba President, Azam Ali, expressed that this acquisition, once finalized, will greatly benefit the Men In Black, as they are seeking to bolster their midfield roster.

Apart from this, Ali disclosed to FijiLive about the recruitment of two rising stars. One is 17-year-old Lautoka midfielder, Isimeli Gavidi, who is presently on the Fiji U19 team and will soon join Ba, his local team. Gavidi, grandson of Ba football icon Meli Vuilabasa, is keenly awaited to follow his grandfather’s path.

Penaia Naqatalevu, Gavidi’s Fiji U19 teammate and a 17-year-old forward from Tavua, is nearing the end of his negotiations with Ba. His move is anticipated to secure soon hence fortifying Ba’s attack with another promising player.

Addressing speculation around Ba players Rahul Naresh and Raj Pillay, who were supposedly sought-after by Suva officials, Ali confirmed their continuance with Ba. He insisted no players are planning to exit the district.
