Ba has filed for the transfer of seasoned Labasa midfielder, Ilaisa Naiyasi. According to Ba President Azam Ali, recruiting Naiyasi will fortify the Men In Black by increasing the depth of their midfield lineup.

Ali also revealed to FijiLive that two prospective young players have been signed.

Isimeli Gavidi, a 17-year-old midfielder from Lautoka who currently plays for the Fiji U19 team, will join his local team, Ba. Gavidi, the grandson of Ba football legend Meli Vuilabasa, is highly anticipated to be joining Ba, following the legacy of his grandfather.

Penaia Naqatalevu, Gavidi’s U19 Fiji team co-player, a 17-year-old striker from Tavua, is almost done with negotiations with Ba. His move is speculated to be finalized soon, thereby adding another youthful talent to Ba’s forward team.

Ali also addressed speculations regarding Ba players Rahul Naresh and Raj Pillay, who were supposedly sought after by Suva officials. He affirmed that both players will remain with Ba and that no players will be departing from the district.
