The President of the Ba Football Association, Azam Ali, remarked that the senior men’s team is still in development under the guidance of Timoci Seru, who has been coaching for the past two weeks.
“Timoci Seru has been part of the coaching panel for a significant amount of time, and I am pleased with how he managed the team in their first match against Navua,” Ali stated.
He acknowledged the challenge of playing away against Navua but expressed satisfaction with the team’s performance, mentioning that they secured a draw.
However, recent performances by Ba have sparked questions from both supporters and critics. The historically strong “Men in Black” have encountered difficulties in achieving consistency, which has raised concerns.
Ali noted that the team is mindful of the critics’ perspectives. Looking ahead, Ba plans to include youth players in their lineup to face Nadroga in the DFPL Round 14 this weekend, seeking the results they aim for.
Ba will host Nadroga at the Fiji FA Ba Academy Grounds on Sunday at 3 PM.
