Ba secured a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Labasa in Round 17 of the Digicel Fiji Premier League at the Fiji FA Academy Ground in Namosau. The Babasiga Lions were desperate for a win to keep their title hopes alive. Christopher Wasasala scored first for Labasa in the 18th minute, giving them an early lead. However, Ba equalized with a header from Etonia Dogalau in the 37th minute, which found the back of the net. The teams went into halftime with the score tied.
The second half proved to be tough and competitive, but Ba clinched the win with a late goal from Faazil Ali. With this victory, Ba remains in fourth place with 28 points, tied on points with third-placed Lautoka but trailing on goal difference. Labasa holds onto second place with 32 points.
