Ba-based Dayal’s Sawmillers Back Fiji’s National Club Championship with Five-Year Sponsorship

Dayal’s Sawmillers has solidified its dedication to Fijian football by signing a new five-year sponsorship agreement for the National Club Championship. This partnership is an effort to enhance grassroots development and support local talent in the sport.

The Ba-based company, which has a long history of supporting Ba FC, sees this initiative as a way to aid players in their journey to ascend through the ranks and achieve higher levels of competition. Managing Director and Ba Football Club President Praneel Dayal expressed his pride in this partnership, stating that football holds a special place in the company’s heart.

“Football is a sport we’re deeply passionate about. We’ve invested a lot over the years, and our goal is to see young players from all districts rise through the ranks, gain experience, and improve their skills,” Dayal remarked. He emphasized that the sponsorship goes beyond mere financial support, aiming to sustain the championship and inspire players throughout the nation to set ambitious goals.

The formal signing of this agreement is expected to take place in January, and Dayal expressed confidence in the direction set by the Fiji Football Association and its long-term vision for the sport. He stated, “This five-year partnership is a real boost for Fiji soccer. As a Ba supporter and someone who loves the game, I’m proud to see us play a part in shaping its future.”

This sponsorship aligns with recent movements in Fijian football, where various organizations recognize the importance of investing in local talent and community engagement. Similar initiatives, such as FMF Foods Limited’s five-year sponsorship deal with the Fiji Football Association for the Inter-District Championship, highlight a growing trend among corporations to bolster the sport’s infrastructure and development.

Collectively, these sponsorships reflect a vibrant future for football in Fiji, fostering a sense of community while providing vital opportunities for young athletes to shine. As these efforts unfold, they set a hopeful tone for the future of the sport in the region, inspiring both current players and future generations.
