Extra Bula FC head coach Stéphane Auvray expressed his contentment with his team’s strong performance in the initial half of their match in Melbourne, but acknowledged that there remains significant work ahead following their recent victory.
Auvray praised his players for dominating possession and effectively converting key opportunities during the first 45 minutes, although he was critical of the decline in intensity after the halftime interval. “I liked the first 45. I think we did really well. We should have scored probably one more and made the game easier for us. Second half, I didn’t like it. So we still have work to do,” he noted.
Despite the second-half slump, Auvray was quick to highlight the squad’s resilience and commend their overall effort in securing the win. “I’m very happy for the players. They deserve that win. They’ve been working hard for so many games, but we still have a lot of work to do,” he remarked.
With the victory behind them, Auvray indicated that the team’s immediate focus will be on improving their performance as they continue to compete in the OFC Pro League. This determination to build on their successful first-half display suggests a positive outlook for Bula FC as they strive for consistent performance in upcoming matches.
