Australia’s First Bluey Video Game Revealed by Brisbane Studio

After achieving phenomenal success with mega-hits like Fruit Ninja, which surpassed 1 billion downloads, Shainiel Deo’s Halfbrick Studios has firmly established itself as a prominent success story in Brisbane’s gaming scene. The studio has now teamed up with one of the city’s most beloved success stories to launch the first-ever Australian-made Bluey game, titled “Bluey’s Quest for the Gold Pen.”

This exciting new game is expected to be the final original Bluey material from creator Joe Brumm until the anticipated release of the 2027 movie. In “Bluey’s Quest for the Gold Pen,” players will join the Heeler family as they navigate a vibrant world crafted from their drawings, chasing after Bandit, who has mischievously swiped his daughter’s favorite drawing tool.

CEO Shainiel Deo describes the game as “essentially a whole new Bluey episode, told through game form.” It promises to capture Brumm’s signature humor and provide insights into the joyous yet complex experiences of family life, appealing to both children and adults alike. This collaboration not only showcases Brisbane’s ongoing innovation in the gaming industry but also highlights the enduring popularity of the Bluey franchise within Australia and beyond.
