A challenging season concluded with disappointment for Wales as they were defeated 36-28 by the Wallabies at a rainy AAMI Park in Melbourne last night, thanks to a pair of tries from Filipo Daugunu.
In the wet conditions, the Wallabies began strongly with an impressive 98-meter try and ultimately secured the victory.
Daugunu scored twice, with Jake Gordon and Allan Alaalatoa also crossing the line, contributing to Australia’s win.
Noah Lolesio added three penalties, while Ben Donaldson kicked another.
The Australians capitalized on several Welsh errors in the Melbourne rain.
Wales scored their points through tries by Rio Dyer, Dewi Lake (who scored twice), and Liam Williams.
Sam Costelow and Ben Thomas added further points with successful kicks.
