Eswa Nadan, a former striker for both Nadi and the national team, will take the reins as the head coach for the AuFFI All Stars in the upcoming Flick Hygiene Pacific Community Cup, set to begin on Thursday at Churchill Park in Lautoka. Known affectionately as “Ninja,” Nadan aims to lead his team to their first-ever tournament victory.

In an interview, Nadan expressed confidence in his team’s preparations over the past few weeks for the four-day event. As the host team, he emphasized the importance of meeting expectations and performing at their highest level.

“This year, we are approaching the tournament with a renewed mindset focused on winning every match,” Nadan stated. “In previous years, we fell short of our goals, but this time we have put in the hard work to ensure everything is in place for success.”

Nadan credited AuFFI President Nick Sharma for his significant efforts in assembling a top-tier squad, while manager Moshin Javed Nabi worked diligently to recruit exceptional guest players. He highlighted the team’s blend of youth and experience, noting that several members bring valuable NPL experience to the lineup.

The team plans to announce their captain on Thursday before their opening match against Navua at 6:15 PM.
