An aunt has been charged with aiding and abetting the rape of her 15-year-old niece, as reported by the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP). This serious allegation is part of a broader issue of sexual offenses, with statistics revealing that 11 individuals were charged with 23 counts of various sexual crimes last month.

Among these cases, a 37-year-old man faces charges relating to this particular incident. Additional charges were pressed against various individuals in separate incidents, including a 28-year-old man accused of raping his 12-year-old and 15-year-old stepdaughters, as well as a 60-year-old man charged with the rape of his 16-year-old niece. Disturbingly, a 12-year-old boy was charged with the rape of his six-year-old cousin, further highlighting the severity of these offenses.

Furthermore, the ODPP’s report indicates that a 17-year-old boy was charged with the defilement of a 14-year-old girl, while a 27-year-old man faced charges connected to the rape of a 19-year-old man, which dates back to when the victim was just seven years old and the accused was 15.

Also among the charged were a 26-year-old man accused of the rape and sexual assault of a five-year-old boy, and a 29-year-old man charged with the rape of a 23-year-old woman. The statistics underscore an alarming trend in sexual offenses, with numerous victims being minors.
